ST. CLOUD — Two men face third-degree murder charges in a St. Cloud house fire that killed an 85-year-old woman.
An 18-year-old St. Cloud man and a 19-year-old Sauk Rapids man were booked into Stearns County Jail. They’re set to appear in court and criminal complaints are expected to be filed against them today.
Stearns County Attorney Janelle Kendall said the men are accused of causing the Nov. 22 explosion and house fire that killed Sally Douglas. She died at a hospital two weeks later.
Investigators have determined the explosion and fire were caused by a marijuana wax manufacturing operation.
The Department of Public Safety is hosting a news conference Wednesday in St. Paul to discuss the emergence of marijuana wax in Minnesota and the danger of manufacturing it.
