Kerry and Nancy Royce and Doug and Dawn Weitzel of Albert Lea announce the engagement of their children, Kelly Jo Royce and Darik Duane Weitzel.

Kelly is the granddaughter of Bob and Connie Maxwell of Albert Lea, the late Audrey Royce Smith of Farmington and the late Russel Royce.

Darik is the grandson of Tamara and the late Harlan Turvold of Albert Lea, James Weitzel of Minneapolis and the late Shelia Weitzel of Albert Lea.

The future bride is a 2005 graduate of Albert Lea High School and received her Bachelor of Science degree in education from Minnesota State University, Mankato. She is employed as a substitute teacher and coach at Albert Lea Area Schools in Albert Lea.

The future groom is a 2004 graduate of Albert Lea High School and received a Microsoft Systems engineer certificate from Riverland Community College and a Service Technician degree from Jones/NCTI. He is employed as a broadband technician II at Midcontinent Communications in southern Minnesota.

A sunset wedding is planned for May 16, 2015, at Fountain Lake Park, in Albert Lea. The couple will continue to live and work in Albert Lea.
