Border League reunion scheduled

The fourth annual Border League reunion is set for 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday in Double Play Sports Bar at 115 E. 6th St. Blue Earth, according to a press release.
The reunion has been targeted at former athletic directors, coaches, officials, administrators and athletes who participated during the existence of the league from 1946 to 1989.
Organizers plan to honor the All-Conference athletes from the 1940s, 1955, ’65, ’75 and ’85.
Schools that participated during various years were Alden, Bricelyn, Ceylon, Delavan, East Chain, Elmore, Emmons, Freeborn, Frost, Granada, Huntley, Kiester, Lyle, Martin Luther, Minnesota Lake, Rake, Scarville, Trimont, Welcome and Winnebago.
All officials are invited to the reunion. Organizers will make a list of those who played sports in the Border League and later became officials. Anyone who was an official themselves or knows of anyone who was is asked to contact Jason Mortvedt at 507-526-3880.
