Man attempts to grab girl walking home from school
Police received a report at 4:32 p.m. Wednesday that a man reportedly got out of a car and grabbed a 10-year-old girl who was walking home from Lakeview Elementary School. The girl was near Fountain Lake when the man reportedly got out of a white, two-door car and grabbed the girl by her book bag. The girl took off running to her home.
The man was described as having dark hair and a beard and was wearing shorts and a brown hoodie. He was estimated to be in his 50s.
The car left heading toward Sunset Street.
Woman arrested for DWI after crash
Freeborn County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Kristin Marie Anderson, 29, for driving while intoxicated, felony drug charges and open container violations after a crash at 5:32 a.m. Wednesday on eastbound Interstate 90 near the Hayward exit.
Mailbox damaged
A mailbox was reported damaged at 8:46 a.m. Wednesday at 3188 Bridge Ave.
Spark leads to ditch fire
A ditch fire was reported at 2:57 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of 220th Street and 675th Avenue after a spark started dead grass on fire near the railroad tracks. Someone was repairing the rail line at the time the fire began.
School bus violation reported
A school bus stop arm violation was reported at 4:03 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of West Front Street and South Pearl Street.
