Our second annual walkathon for Hawthorne Elementary School was a success thanks to the hard work of students, teachers and staff at the school. Grades 1 to 5 completed the five-mile walk around Fountain Lake and kindergarteners walked three miles. Thank you also to so many wonderful community members and businesses that supported our school. We want to specifically thank the following businesses for their donations to our walk: Mayo Clinic Health Systems, Kwik Trip, Hy-Vee grocery store, city of Albert Lea, Commodity Marketing Company and EZ Rental.
