Bike-A-Thon is Saturday

Help fight cancer by participating in the 39th annual 100-mile Bike-A-Thon. The ride starts at 6 a.m. Saturday at Sibley Elementary School’s warming house and follows a route throughout the county before finishing at the start point in Albert Lea. The ride benefits the American Cancer Society, and more information can be found on the front of the Tribune this Friday.

Friday

• See the “East Meets West I-90 Art Connection” show at the Albert Lea Art Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

• Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Albert Lea will hold a salad luncheon with sloppy joes and bars from 11 a.m to 1 p.m. Cost is $6. Tickets for the quilt raffle are $5 or three for $10.

• A Diamond and Denim food and wine tasting event will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. at Wedgewood Cove Golf Club. Cost is $20, and tickets are available at the door, at Sterling Drug, Cheers Liquor and Good Samaritan Society. Proceeds benefit the Good Samaritan Society.

• Enjoy the musical revue, “Always…Patsy Cline,” at 7:30 p.m. at the Marion Ross Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $17 for adults and $14 for students.

• The Knife River Band will perform from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. at The Office Bar in Glenville.

Saturday

• The Freeborn County Bike-A-Thon begins at 6 a.m. at Sibley Elementary School’s warming house. The 100-mile ride benefits the American Cancer Society.

• The Spring Safari Tournament, held by the Flying Lea Disc Golf Club, will be held, with 9 a.m. registration and a 10 a.m. tee time at the Riverland Community College. The second round is at Bancroft Bay Park. Cost for the tournament is $10, and to join the closest-to-pin contest is an extra $3.

• See the “East Meets West I-90 Art Connection” show at the Albert Lea Art Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

• Come see the Just For Kix spring shows at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. in the Albert Lea High School gym. Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for students.

• Joyce Matthies dancers, ALHS show choir, Harmony Junction Barbershop Chorus and Chapter Quartets will perform at the Harmony Junction Chorus annual show at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the Albert Lea High School auditorium. Tickets are $10 in advance, available at Doyle’s Hallmark, Cup of Faith, Addie’s Floral or any choir member, or $12 at the door.

• Taste some wine at the second annual Wine Tasting Event at Geneva Bar & Grill. The event starts at 3:30 p.m., and tickets are $10.

• Enjoy the musical revue, “Always…Patsy Cline,” at 7:30 p.m. at the Marion Ross Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $17 for adults and $14 for students.

• A farewell party and dance for the Albert Lea National Guard will be held at the Albert Lea Armory from 7 to 11 p.m. Tickets are $10 and are available at Hy-Vee, Nelson’s Market Place, the Albert Lea-Freeborn County Chamber of Commerce, Northbridge Mall, the Albert Lea Convention & Visitors Bureau and Doyle’s Hallmark. Music will be provided by the Alley Katz Band.

Sunday
