Weekend Planner: Church group to raise funds for cemetery

Members of the Hayward Lutheran Church are holding a lunch to raise some money for their church cemetery.
The Hayward Lutheran Cemetery fundraiser lunch will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hayward Lutheran Church social hall.
Pulled pork sandwiches, salad, baked beans, bars, coffee and lemonade will be served. The church welcomes all to come to the lunch.
A donation will be accepted.
Friday
• The Red Cross will have a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea.
• The cancer survivorship walking group will meet at 3 p.m. at the Health Reach Walking Track. The group is free and available for cancer patients receiving treatments, after cancer treatments and caregivers. Call 507-379-2050 with questions and ask for Stacy, Kellie or Sydney.
Saturday
• The Albert Lea Farmers Market will be from 9 a.m. to noon in the Northbridge Mall parking lot.
• Students of Joyce Matthies will have a dance recital at 2 and 7 p.m. at the Marion Ross Performing Arts Center.
• There will be a Freeborn American Legion fundraising fish fry from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Freeborn American Legion.
Sunday
• Enjoy Sunday breakfast from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Albert Lea American Legion. Pancakes, potatoes, scrambled eggs with or without ham, sausages, fruit cup, juice, milk and coffee will be served. Cost is $7.
