The Freeborn County Soil Health Team is planning a spring soil health field day from 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturday at 29825 County Road 45 in Clarks Grove.

This field day features guest speaker Daniel Briere from Quebec presenting “Ryegrass, An Extraordinary Athlete Servicing Your Soil And Your Wallet.”

Other topics include local soil temperature data, rainfall simulator demonstration to compare farm managements, one-on-one with local producers and a root pit to highlight characteristics of healthy soil.
