Knights take second at tournament

After earning at trip to the Minnesota Baseball Tournament for its first state berth of the season during May’s Richfield Tournament, the Albert Lea Knights 11AA baseball team took second place at the Mankato Royals Classic June 6 and 7 to earn a second state berth in the Minnesota Sports Federation Tournament. The Knights dropped their first two games during pool play on June 6 but rebounded June 7 in bracket play with a 7-2 win over Austin and a 6-3 victory over Rochester to qualify for the championship game.
