3 injured in Gordonsville crash

GORDONSVILLE — Three people from Iowa were injured Sunday morning in a broadside collision on U.S. Highway 65 in Gordonsville.
Tyler J. Trappe, 23, of Mason City, Addison D. Fjelstad, 17, of Scarville, Iowa, and Kristanya K. Lauritsen, 19, of Nora Springs, Iowa, received injuries deemed not life-threatening, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Trappe was transported to a hospital in Mason City, Fjelstad was transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea and Lauritsen was transported to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.
According to the State Patrol, Trappe was driving a 2012 Chevy Equinox northbound on Highway 65 and Fjelstad was driving a 1996 Chrysler Sebring eastbound on Freeborn County Road 1 when the two vehicles collided shortly before 8:30 a.m. Lauritsen was a passenger in Trappe’s vehicle.
The report does not state further details about how the crash might have occurred.
All occupants were wearing their seat belts.
The Minnesota State Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office, Glenville Fire Department, Gold Cross Ambulance and Mayo One.
