Man seriously injured in I-35 motorcycle crash

GENEVA — A Wisconsin man was seriously injured Sunday evening after he crashed his motorcycle on Interstate 35 two miles south of the exit to Geneva.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.

Jason E. Wendelboe, 46, of Frederic, Wisconsin, was transported by ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea. It is unclear whether he was transported to another hospital.

A motorist reported that Wendelboe was reportedly traveling southbound on I-35 on a 2006 Yamaha motorcycle, weaving over lines near milepost 28, and in a single-lane construction zone  near milepost 20 he reportedly crashed on the roadway.

He did not have a helmet on and received a head injury.
