Come hear about the recent session

Published 9:52 am Tuesday, June 23, 2015

Minnesota’s legislative session just ended, and like many Minnesotans, I have some questions. How much has education funding increased? What will that mean to Albert Lea schools and surrounding schools? What happened to the Political Contribution Rebate Program and why? Why did the Legislature make the cuts it did to the State Auditor’s Office and what will that mean to Minnesota?

If you have questions about the legislatve session, you are invited to the Freeborn County DFL Picnic from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Pioneer Park, 100 Hawthorne St. in  Albert Lea.

State Rep. Jeanne Poppe, State Sen. Dan Sparks, State Auditor Rebecca Otto, and Secretary of State Steve Simon will be there to speak and answer questions.
