Rockets rally past Wolverines 5-4

The Randolph Rockets softball team scored runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings Monday for a 5-4 come-from-behind win over the Glenville-Emmons Wolverines.
The Wolverines built a 3-0 lead after the second inning after receiving an RBI sacrifice fly from Kailey Davis in the first.
The Rockets tied the game in the fourth inning with three runs off six hits in the fourth. One Rockets batter reached first on a walk before two errors loaded the bases before Davis walked in a run.
The Wolverines (2-6, 1-4 Southeast) regained the lead with one run in the fifth but the Rockets (6-6, 5-4) again tied the game in the bottom of the inning and scored the game-winning run in the sixth.
Davis pitched six inning and scattered eight hits while striking out two and walking two.
Robyn Roe and Devin Cooper both went 2-for-3 for the Wolverines with an RBI. Alayna Hall was 2-for-4 with two runs scores and Jamie Williamson and Jennaca Haines were both 1-for-3.
The Wolverines, who have lost three straight games, play again at 4:30 p.m. today against Mabel-Canton (1-6, 1-4) in Glenville. Mabel-Canton is currently on a four-game losing streak.
