Phyllis Indrelie, 1926-2015

A memorial service for Phyllis Indrelie will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Alden. The Rev. Greg Ofsdahl will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Bonnerup Funeral Service in Albert Lea, and again one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be in East Freeborn Cemetery.
Phyllis V. Indrelie of Alden passed away on Tuesday, June, 23, 2015, at St. John’s Lutheran Community in Albert Lea. She was 89.
Phyllis was born in Riceland Township on May 10, 1926, to Cora and Martin Enderson. She attended school at the Lerdahl School District.
On Oct. 26, 1947, Phyllis married Sidney J. Indrelie at East Freeborn Lutheran Church near Albert Lea.
She held several jobs at different places, including American Gas, farming onion and potato fields, Land O’Lakes, Woolworth’s, Redeemer Lutheran Church, Alden Public School and Walley’s Café in Alden.
In her free time Phyllis enjoyed spending time with friends and family, traveling on bus trips, sewing and maintaining her home and garden. She loved to bake pies, doughnuts and lefse. Phyllis was a member at the senior center and Parent Teacher Association. She could often be found visiting the local nursing homes around Albert Lea.
She is survived by her daughter, Eileen (Loren) Tolzmann, of Wells; son-in-law, Kenneth Stencel, of Albert Lea; grandchildren Kara (Chris) Waldron of Waseca, Mitchell (Brooke) Tolzmann of Spring Hill, Tennessee, Seth Schwartz of Minneapolis and Christopher Tolzmann of North Mankato; and great-grandchildren Nicolas Waldron, Ellery Waldron and Zander Tolzmann.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Indrelie; daughter, JoAnn Stencel; parents Martin and Cora Enderson; siblings Milton Enderson, Ethel Enderson, Pearl Anderson, Lucille Kittleson and Catherine Edmonds.
