A dryer fire was reported at 6:24 p.m. Monday at 704 W. Clark St., according to reports.

Albert Lea Fire Capt. Mark Light said when firefighters arrived the dryer was smoldering and there was a lot of smoke. Just to be safe, firefighters took the clothes out of the dryer and then pulled the dryer out of the house.

Light said the cause of the fire is unknown.

Woman arrested for shoplifting

Police arrested Autumn Marie Hamberg, 21, for shoplifting at 5:20 p.m. Monday at Walmart,1550 Blake Ave., reports stated.

Semi jackknifes on interstate

A semi reportedly jackknifed on Interstate 35 near mile 11 at 8:50 a.m. Monday, according to reports.
