The first phase of the reconstruction of Lakeview Boulevard begins Monday. The Lakeview Boulevard reconstruction project involves the complete reconstruction of Lakeview Boulevard from Abbott Street to Wedge Street. Ulland Brothers Inc. is the prime contractor.

The project will be divided into two phases in order to limit the inconvenience to area residents. The first phase will be from Abbott Street to Sunset Street. Construction in phase one is expected to last until September.

South bound traffic will detour on Sunset Street to Highway 13. Northbound traffic should take West Fountain Street to Highway 13 and then onto Sunset Street back to Lakeview Boulevard.

Access to properties along this section of Lakeview Boulevard and to Botsford Avenue will be maintained for local traffic and emergency vehicles only. Pedestrian access to dock spaces along Fountain Lake will also be maintained.   The sidewalk will remain open throughout the project.

The second phase of the project will be from Sunset Street to Wedge Street. This section will be started after the first phase is complete and open to traffic.
