The Albert Lea High School Youth Apprenticeship celebrated the completion of their school year on Tuesday. A reception for the students, ALHS school staff, Youth Apprenticeship business partners and mentors, family and friends took place. Certificates of completion from the Minnesota Department of Education were presented to the students at this time. Certificates of appreciation were also presented to the sponsor businesses and mentors.
The Youth Apprenticeship program would like to thank all the participating worksites and on-site mentors for their support and training this past school year.
The Youth Apprenticeship program is a career exploration, paid work experience, where high school juniors and/or seniors are hired by local businesses to learn more about the industry, gain valuable work skills needed and to gain high school credits.
