The Salvation Army is hosting an open house on Sunday at 302 Court St. in Albert Lea to welcome Maj. Louise Delano-Sharpe as the new commanding officer of the Albert Lea Corps.

Delano-Sharpe and her daughter, Alyah, come  from New York, but Delano- Sharpe is a native of the Albert Lea area.

The Salvation Army invites the community to come and join in the festivities, including a prayer time at 9:30 a.m., Sunday school at 9:45 a.m., worship service with installation at 11 a.m. and lunch at noon.
