Farm & City Days returning to New Richland

Farm & City Days will return to New Richland from Thursday through Sunday.
Returning this year is the Little Miss and Mister Pageant. The pageant has four categories: Little Miss Farmer, Little Mister Farmer, Little Miss City and Little Mister City. Little Miss and Little Mister City need to live within the city limits of New Richland, and Little Miss Farmer and Little Mister Farmer need to have a country New Richland address.
The pageant will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at New Richland City Hall.
On Friday there will be Family Feud, a movie in the park, a potato bake with root beer floats and a bean bake tournament.
On Saturday the day will start with a pancake breakfast sponsored by State Bank of New Richland. The breakfast starts at 7 a.m. and goes until 10 a.m., with the grand marshal announcement at 9 a.m.
The Hillbilly Fun Run registration starts at 7:30 a.m. and will take off from City Hall at 8 a.m. There is also a softball tournament at Legion Field at 8 a.m. along with a volleyball tournament starting at 9 a.m.
There will be a top 25 antique car show, a swap meet and vendor fair, horseshoe tournament, flower display, a kiddie parade with a kids zone, teen ultimate scavenger hunt and the farm family fun fest.
The 30th annual Farm & City Days Parade will start at 5 p.m. After the parade, entertainment will begin at 6 p.m. The local celebrity pie in the face, toilet bowl races, and games and food will be there.
The day will conclude with a street dance from 8 p.m. to midnight with music by CherryGun. Cost is $8 or free with F&C Days button.
The weekend will end with a family fun fest at City Park and a meet-and-greet with the NRHEG cheerleaders at City Hall.
Thursday

5 p.m.: Registration for Little Miss/Mr.City/Country at City Hall; open to boys and girls ages 5 to 8.
