MINNEAPOLIS — Authorities have released the name of man who was hit and killed by a bus as he was crossing the street earlier this week. 

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner said 71-year-old Andrew Morris Beisner of Minneapolis died of multiple blunt-force injuries Wednesday afternoon.

Police have said the bus hit Beisner as he was crossing the street in Minneapolis. Metro Transit said the bus driver was tested for drugs and alcohol and put on administrative leave, which is standard.

The incident is still being investigated.
