- Adam Nelson of the Albert Lea U16 boys’ soccer team battles for control of the ball Tuesday against Winona. Albert Lea won 1-0 and qualified for the state tournament after compiling a 9-1-1 regular-season record and winning three playoff games. Next, Albert Lea will play its state tournament opener against Minnetonka at 7 p.m. Monday at Mankato. The Albert Lea U13 boys’ soccer team also qualified for the state tournament. — Provided
