Woman injured in rear-end collision on I-90

A Buffalo woman was injured Friday afternoon after a rear-end collision on Interstate 90 near Hayward.
Pamela J. Bassett, 58, was transported by ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin for injuries deemed not life-threatening, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The report stated Bassett was driving a 1997 Saturn coupe eastbound on I-90 when she was rear-ended by a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Jeremiah S. Helferich, 19, of Mountain Lake.
Helferich and Bassett’s passenger, Mary M. Draayer, 68, of Austin, were not injured.
The report stated alcohol was not a factor and all occupants were wearing their seat belts.
The Hayward Fire Department, Gold Cross Ambulance and Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
