Robbery reported
An alleged robbery was reported at 1:27 a.m. Tuesday at the Freedom Value Center gas station in Austin. It was reported that one subject possibly had a knife.
Three to four black males were alleged to have driven away in a 1999 red Pontiac Grand Prix, four-door sedan.
The car was reported to be in bad shape, with a loud exhaust and bad shocks.
One of the suspects was reported wearing a blue sweatshirt and khaki pants, a second suspect was reported wearing a gray sweatshirt and possibly having a knife, and a third one was reported to be 6-feet-tall with a thin build, a white hat and a dark shirt. The suspect was reported to have been in his 20s.
The Austin Police Department allegedly got an anonymous letter that one of the suspects may have been involved in a liquor store robbery in Albert Lea.
Hit-and-run reported
A hit-and-run crash was reported to the Albert Lea Police Department at 7:50 a.m. Monday at 1840 Margaretha Ave. in Albert Lea. An aluminum, flatbed trailer was reported hit while parked in a parking lot by an unknown vehicle. Damage to the parked vehicle was reported at approximately $8,000. The incident was alleged to have happened sometime between 9 p.m. Sunday and 7:30 a.m. Monday.
Gun reported stolen
Albert Lea police received a report at 1:40 a.m. Tuesday of a Sig Sauer .45-caliber stolen at 2105 South Shore Drive in Albert Lea. The gun was taken off the porch of the house Saturday night.
