Girl runs into path of oncoming vehicle

A 5-year-old girl reportedly ran into the path of an oncoming vehicle Thursday evening in a parking lot at 2404 Bridge Ave. According to police, the girl ran north through the parking lot at about 8:45 p.m., and the driver, Gail Rasmussen, 62, of Albert Lea, was headed westbound through the lot.
Rasmussen reportedly didn’t see the girl. The girl did not appear to be injured.
Five arrested after loud music complaint
Four people were arrested for minor consumption Thursday evening after police received a call of some teenagers having loud music and drinking at 900 Hammer Road.
According to police, Jordan Lee Cooper, 19, Nicholas Joseph Grangruth, 18, Caleb Joseph Kolodge, 18, and Jacob John Jensen, 18, were all cited for minor consumption.
Matthew Lance Tiegs, 20, was cited for fleeing an officer on foot.
Counterfeit bill reported
A counterfeit bill was reported 1452 W. Main St. at 11:19 a.m. Thursday, according to reports.
Vehicles broken into
A wallet was reported taken from a vehicle at 123 N. Second Ave. at 1:47 p.m. Thursday, reports stated.
A vehicle was reported broken into at 120 N. Third Ave. at 3:52 p.m. Thursday. A wallet was reported missing.
Items were reported stolen from a vehicle at 212 E. Seventh St. at 5:12 p.m. Thursday, according to reports. The items were reportedly stolen a few nights prior.
A GPS system, car phone charger and owner’s manual were reported stolen from a vehicle at 801 Lincoln Ave. at 7:50 p.m. Thursday, according to reports.
Man arrested for DWI
Police arrested Jared Scott Bowman, 21, for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop near the intersection of East Main Street and Pillsbury Avenue at 9:34 p.m. Thursday, reports stated.
