1 injured in crash and other reports

1 injured in crash

One person sustained injuries deemed not life-threatening after a car crash at 5:19 p.m. Wednesday on Interstate 35 in Freeborn County south of Albert Lea.

The crash involved two vehicles, a 2009 Chevrolet Impala and a 2014 Ford Silverado. Alleen M Laitinen, 58, of Hanlontown, Iowa, driver of the Impala, was transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Dennis Schwab, 61, of Dumont, Iowa, driver of the Silverado, and passenger Shirley Schwab, 61, of Dumont, were not injured.

Both vehicles were reportedly heading southbound on Interstate 35 near milepost 7. The Impala was preparing to make a left-hand turn when the two cars collided, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Gold Cross Ambulance and Albert Lea Township Fire assisted on scene.

 

Two cited for disorderly conduct

Police cited Justin Dale Anderson and Cody Baines Johnson for disorderly conduct at 1:46 a.m. Friday at 1318 E. Main St. in Albert Lea.

 

Man arrested on warrant

Police arrested Dylan James Kroupa on an Iowa warrant at 7:29 p.m. Thursday at 716 Lincoln Ave. in Albert Lea.

 

Theft by check reported

Checks from a closed U.S. Bank account were reported at 2:58 p.m. Thursday at 331 S. Broadway Ave. in Albert Lea.

 

1 injured in fight

One person was reportedly taken to the emergency room Thursday night after a fight outside the Heritage Hotel in Albert Lea. The fight reportedly involved two males. More details weren’t available thismorning.

 

Hit-and-run crash reported

A hit-and-run crash was reported at 4:03 p.m. Wednesday at the Vet’s Whoa N Go on Minnesota Highway 13 in Albert Lea.
