Started in 2010, Complete Realty in Albert Lea is a real estate brokerage that specializes in commercial and residential property management.

Owned by husband and wife team Robert and Angie Hoffman, the business manages 63 units, 20 of which the Hoffmans also own.

The Hoffmans said what sets Complete Realty apart from other companies is that it is a licensed real estate brokerage run by a property manager who is a licensed real estate broker. In Minnesota, it is state statute for a property manager to have a broker’s license.

Robert Hoffman is a former Realtor, who was originally licensed in 2004. He is the broker for the business, and is also a certified home inspector who has been active with the Minnesota Multi-Housing Association.

Robert Hoffman started out as a property manager, working for other property management firms. Now, he only manages property under his company.

Throughout his career, he has managed 266 units over 12 locations for six companies, they said.

In 2015, the Hoffmans said they expanded their management portfolio by adding two more apartment buildings, including a 12-unit building purchased in Albert Lea. They have built a strong professional relationship with a large nationwide company while managing the former Walmart in Skyline Plaza.

In the coming year, the Hoffmans said they are looking to set up a formal office site, either at a location they already own or at a location they could purchase or lease. Their office is presently out of their home.

They are also finalizing a website that will serve as a directory of rentals in Albert Lea.
