Women Veterans will welcome Danielle Elg, RN from the Albert Lea Veterans Clinic as their featured speaker on Sept. 2. Elg is the administrator at the veterans clinic.
The focus of the informal luncheon meeting will be services offered in Albert Lea and what in particular is of interest to female veterans of all ages.
Elg will discuss what the clinic offers for primary care and mental health services that include women’s health care. Elg will reflect on the two primary care providers on site and some services that are out sourced.
Elg has lived in southern Minnesota most of her life. She and her husband recently moved to the Wells area after the Albert Lea clinic opened. Elg is currently raising a toddler and has a second child on the way.
Elg obtained her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Minnesota State University. Her professional experiences range from long term care, clinical nursing and healthcare management. She has also worked at other Veteran’s Affairs outpatient clinics for several years prior to taking the position in Albert Lea.
