MAPLEWOOD — Police are investigating the shooting death of a 41-year-old mother in suburban Maplewood.

Authorities identified her as April Marie Tennin. Police Chief Paul Schnell said investigators considered her husband a “person of interest” in Sunday’s slaying. He said there was an argument before the shooting.

Police found his vehicle in a north metro city but think he fled in a different vehicle. The husband was still missing Sunday night.

First responders were called to the home just after 6 a.m. Sunday. Tennin was dead from an apparent gunshot wound.
