Award-winning polka artist Mollie B will perform Saturday near Myrtle at the Fall Czech Festival.
She will perform under the tent from 1 to 5 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the gate.
“You don’t have to travel to see her,” said Dan Rayman, president of Czech Lodge 44. “A lot of the people in this area who follow her wouldn’t otherwise have the option of seeing her. It brings some publicity to our hall as well.”
The festival that will be located at 17509 850th Ave., three miles north of Myrtle, will also feature Czech music, dancing on the wooden dance floor, pulled pork, brats, kolache, pop and beer. A silent auction and door prizes will be held throughout the day. Those coming are advised to bring their own chair.
Tickets are available at Hunters Bar in Myrtle and the Geneva Bar & Grill.
Mollie B is known from her role on the Polka Party on RFD, a rural cable channel. A Spring Grove native, Mollie B has won numerous national awards. She performs in the South during the wintertime. She has sponsored polka cruises, European tours and waltzes.
The festival benefits Bohemian Brick Hall restoration and care. The hall was built in 1909. The building is listed on the national register of historic places.
