MINNEAPOLIS — About 100 corporate and community leaders plan to camp out this weekend to raise funds for young people who are homeless.
The fundraising goal for the Night of Hope event on Sunday is $250,000 directed to YouthLink programs and services. YouthLink connects homeless young people, ages 16 to 23, with basic needs, including food, clothing and finding shelter. It also helps homeless youth with health care options, finding a job, getting a photo ID, completing GED requirements and other assistance. YouthLink has a drop-in center in downtown Minneapolis.
