1 arrested on warrant

Police arrested Andrew Peter Borland on a warrant at 12:12 a.m. Friday at the Freeborn County Law Enforcement Center.

 

3 arrested for underage drinking

Police arrested Ramiro Alejandro Pena, 18, for false information and underage drinking at 11:22 p.m. Friday at 423 Court St. in Albert Lea. In connection with the incident, Tevin Michael Lovejoy, 18, was also arrested for underage drinking and released, Jesus Fabian Mendez, 20, was arrested for underage drinking and Shauna Lynn Navarro, 21, was cited for social host violation.

 

Smoke reported

The Albert Lea Fire Department was dispatched at 8:48 a.m. Friday to 705 Freeborn Ave. on a report of smoke in the house. There was light smoke that was reportedly caused by an overheated electrical cord. No damage was reported.

 

Thefts reported

An employee was reported stealing money from Hardware Hank in Albert Lea at 8:44 a.m. Friday.
