GLENVILLE — There was no quit in the Glenville-Emmons football team on Homecoming.

Leading Glenville-Emmons’ air-raid offense was quarterback Derek Van Rywsyk, who completed 19 of 44 passes for 232 yards and two touchdowns.
“A lot of teams have been bringing pressure, so we’ve been working on picking up the blitzes,” said Wolverines coach Jared Matson. “If we have time we can do good things. It’s all about giving Derek time back there.”
Carter Dahlum led Glenville-Emmons’ receiving corps. with seven catches for 123 yards, including a 70-yard touchdown on a pass that hit him in stride with 6:44 left in the fourth quarter.
Bret Belshan caught a 2-yard touchdown pass with 4:03 left in regulation, and Seth Chapek added five receptions for 42 yards.
“We’ve got some guys who can get on the outside and move a little bit,” Matson said. “If we can get them in space, they can make some plays.”
Dahlum also led the Wolverines on the ground with 18 yards and a touchdown on five carries.
Danny Charron added 11 yards on six carries.
“He ran hard and blocked hard all night,” Matson said. “That’s a big thing. He did a good job of picking up blitzes to give us a chance.”
