While hiking recently in Cades Cove inside the Smoky National Park of Tennessee, James and Nancy Cope of Albert Lea were greeted by two black bears. What they presumed to be a mother and her cub continued to approach the two hikers, before vanishing into the dense forest that surrounds the trail.
