Chaplain service reveals quality folks

I had the privilege of serving as the chaplain for the Albert Lea Good Samaritan Society for two years. It was a pleasure to work and minister there. From the administrator, department leaders, social workers and staff, everyone seemed to be on the same page and of the same mind set — to serve the residents as Christ served. Good and quality care was given to each resident, and residents were treated with the dignity they deserved. I watched as the nurses, LPNs, and CNAs grew attached to their patients. When residents passed on, we would hold a private memorial service at the bedside, and these caring people many times wept at their bedside. This is the kind of care I observed at the Good Samaritan Society.
I believe Administrator Mark Anderson to be a good man and am glad he is at the helm of this facility. He has a staff of good, quality people working with him. They do their best every day at doing their calling. I do not believe it is right to judge the whole organization for the behavior of some.
