The Albert Lea Art Center will welcome Ed and Joyce Shamon as its featured speaker at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Albert Lea Art Center, 226 W. Clark St. The couple will present “30 Days in Portugal: Politics, Place, People, Party,” which is part of the Dorothy Godtland lecture series. The duo spent one month this summer in Lisbon, Portugal and will share their experience with attendees. According to a press release, special Portuguese refreshments will be served. The event is free and open to the public.
