MINNEAPOLIS — Authorities said a father and his 5-year-old son were shot in Minneapolis less than a block from where an unarmed man was recently killed by police.

Investigators said there’s no indication the shooting Thursday is related to ongoing protests over the death of Jamar Clark.

Police said the 40-year-old father was shot in the arm and behind while the boy was shot in the leg. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Officials said the shooter fled in a blue Cadillac.
