Teen accused of killing classmate released from jail

GRAND RAPIDS — A northern Minnesota teenager accused of killing a classmate in what authorities said may be an accidental shooting has been released from jail.
Itasca County sheriff’s officials said 17-year-old Dallas James Graciano of rural Deer River died after being shot by his 18-year-old friend in Squaw Lake Sunday morning. The Itasca County Attorney’s Office is reviewing the case. According to a press release, the 18-year-old has been released from jail on his own recognizance.
The two teens were seniors at Deer River High School and played football together.
