The cause of the Nov. 24 fire on Hawthorne Street is still undetermined, according to Deputy Fire Chief Jeffery Laskowske.

He said the fire was most likely caused by candles located in the living room.

Laskowske said the house, at 110 W. Hawthorne St., has been turned over to the property owner.

Heavy fire damage was reportedly sustained to the front living room and smoke damage was sustained throughout the house.

Renovations will have to be made before the owner moves back in, Laskowske said.

The fire was reported at about 12:15 p.m.

Laskowske said no one was inside at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported.

A dog that normally lives at the home had been taken to the groomer and was not home.
