The adult choir of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Wells will present “Bethlehem’s Child” at 9 a.m. Sunday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 291 First St. SW in Wells.
According to a press release, Isaiah, the old Testament prophet, foretold that the Messiah would come and he would be called, “Emmanuel-God with us.” The Gospel writer John, having had a personal association with Jesus and looking in retrospect at the miracle of God becoming human, said, “The Word (meaning Jesus) became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth. We have held his glory, the glory of the only son of the heavenly Father.”
This is the compelling story of Christmas. This is the miraculous story of “Bethlehem’s Child.”
The cantata will be presented during the church’s worship service. The public is invited to attend this presentation.
“It is our hope this musical offering helps fill your Christmas with the joy of the season and the love of Christ,” said adult choir director John Degner.
