Promote domestic manufacturing

With 2016 now upon us, we have a host of issues that need attention from the Republican candidates running for president. Recent events at home and abroad highlight the need to strengthen our ability to defend our nation.
One way we can enhance our security is to promote domestic manufacturing. Currently, our military is dangerously dependent on foreign nations for the products needed to defend America. Instead of relying on other countries for raw materials, we should be prioritizing manufacturing here in the United States.
A stronger and more robust domestic manufacturing industry would allow the U.S. to better provide for its own defense and respond quicker to disasters. If we’re going to be serious about a stronger economy and a stronger defense, we must have strong domestic manufacturing industry.
As the presidential race unfolds, I’m eager to hear where our presidential candidates stand on promoting domestic manufacturing. It’s critical to the security of our nation.
