Minn. deputy accused of stealing

LITCHFIELD — A Meeker County sheriff’s deputy is due in court on accusations he stole prescription drugs and gifts from a holiday toy drive.
According to a press release, the 33-year-old deputy is scheduled to make his first court appearance today.
Sheriff Brian Cruze saidthe deputy’s actions have been tough for the rest of the department, which takes a hit for the accusations.
Investigators said the deputy took drugs from the county’s prescription drop box and toys collected at the courthouse for children in need.
