Fully Rely on God

Fully Rely on God of Central Freeborn Lutheran Church in rural Albert Lea hosted its Valentine’s Day party Feb. 6 at Central Freeborn Lutheran Church. Forty-six people attended. According to Bob Hanson, 11 were young and 35 were young at heart.

Four of the attendees were first-timers to the event, and all four had beginner’s lunch as they each scored a bingo.

A dinner of pizza and pop was followed by 12 games of Norwegian bingo. Many games had multiple winners. Krista Titus had the most bingos. Michelle Cardona was the grandma with the most grandchildren present.

Valentine’s Day cards were signed by many of those present, as well as those attending church the next day. They were mailed to each of the 21 church members who haven’t been able to get around much during the winter months.

Eunice Bakken, Serenity Grant, Hanson and Bruce Stolaas were door prize winners.

The evening concluded with a no-holds-barred all-the-calories-you-can-eat ice cream buffet.

The group thanks Dairy Queen south, Arby’s, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Perkins and all in Albert Lea for the prizes.

FROG will take a bus to Lutheran night at a Minnesota Twins game. The bus will leave Albert Lea at 4 p.m. July 26. More information will follow at a later date.
