For two Panthers and two Rebels, wrestling season is far from over.

NRHEG and United South Central wrestlers competed at the Section 2A tournament Friday and Saturday. The Panthers and the Rebels will each advance two individuals to the state tournament. NRHEG will advance seniors Cordell Peterson and Wyatt Fitterer, while United South Central will advance seniors Adam Knutson and Derek Herman.

“Overall, this was our best performance of the year,” said NRHEG coach Shawn Larson. “Throughout this year we have had our struggles, but we did the best that we could when it came to the section tournament.”

Individual wrestling for the state tournament begins Friday at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.
