FOLEY — Authorities said workers at a Foley company were taken to the hospital after inhaling fumes from a cleaning solution.
Foley Fire Chief Mark Pappenfus said the department got a call just before 10 p.m. Saturday that a number of employees at PouchTec Industries had inhaled a harmful cleaning substance.
Pappenfus said “multiple” people were taken to St. Cloud Hospital. According to a press release, the number of patients and condition reports were unavailable Sunday morning from the hospital.
Maintenance workers had cleaned up the substance before firefighters arrived.
PouchTec Industries is a food and liquid packaging company. The Foley Fire Department and the company are investigating.
