Mayor Vern Rasmussen Jr. accepted a donation of 18 tree guards from Lou-Rich, a division of Innovance, at last Monday night’s city council meeting. Craig Schmidt of Lou-Rich, right, represented the company. The tree guards will be placed on Broadway south of Main Street. The estimated value of the guards is $4,500. The company previously donated a large portion of 35 tree guards for the stretch of Broadway north of Main Street in 2014. – Provided
