Police looking for pull-tab deposit bags
Albert Lea police are looking for two pull-tab bank deposit bags after they were reported stolen at 10:01 p.m. Sunday from the Nasty Habit. An African-American male suspect reportedly fled the scene with two bank deposit bags containing $1,400 in cash and documents from the proceeds, according to the department’s Facebook page.
Police arrested Cosselle Lonnell Mays, 37, for theft, with about one-third of the reportedly lost amount.
Though police believe the money has been removed from the bags, they noted the bags might still contain important bookkeeping documents and receipts.
The bags are reportedly green in color and have Security State Bank printed on them. Police advised the bags might be in dumpsters, garbage cans, bushes or sewer drains between the Nasty Habit and Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea.
Police advised calling 911 and not handling the bags if located.
