Man airlifted after crash

A 26-year-old man was airlifted to Rochester this morning after he was ejected through the windshield of the vehicle he was driving as it crashed.
According to authorities, the incident took place on Freeborn County Road 20 at 12:25 a.m. today. The vehicle reportedly rolled, and the driver, Joshua Steven Kermes, 26, obtained serious injuries.
Kermes was found lying in the middle of the road.
Officials are investigating. Alcohol was suspected, police stated.
A Mayo Clinic spokeswoman said Kermes was in good condition.
Woman arrested for DWI
Police arrested Melissa Marie Madson, 32, for DWI at 1:03 a.m. today after her van reportedly went into the ditch.
Semi hits pole
A grain hauler reportedly hit a power pole near the McDonald’s on North Bridge Avenue at 9:11 a.m. Wednesday, according to reports. After the incident happened, numerous traffic lights went out, including the lights at the intersection of Bridge Avenue and Hammer Road.
