ATWATER — Authorities said a 79-year-old man has died in a lawn mower accident in western Minnesota.

The Kandiyohi County sheriff’s office said the man was found pinned under a riding lawn mower in a ditch in Atwater late Thursday morning.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. He is identified as George Klose Jr., from the Atwater area.

Authorities said Klose lived at the home near the accident scene.
