Bulldogs clip Eagles

Lake Mills was looking for its second win in as many days when it traveled to West Hancock Tuesday night.

The Bulldogs got a 7-2 victory and were led by a complete game pitching performance by Zach Throne.

Throne allowed eight hits and two runs over seven innings of work. He struck out four.

Slade Sifuentes reached base four times, stole three bases and scored two runs, and Luke Groe went 2-2 with an RBI, a run scored and a walk.

The Bulldogs showed a lot of patience at the plate by walking 11 times, and they were extremely aggressive on the bases, stealing six.

The win puts the Bulldogs at 11-6 on the year.

They will be on the road again as they travel to Eagle Grove (5-9) tonight.

First pitch is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
