The Bulldogs were coming off a tough 11-2 loss to Clear Lake Thursday and wanted to put that game behind them when they hosted Garner-Hayfield-Ventura Friday.
Playing its fifth game of the week, Lake Mills looked worn down.
And it showed.
The Bulldogs took an 11-1 thumping from the Cardinals to end their week on a low note.
The Cardinals scored one run in each of the first two innings, then poured on four runs in both the third and fourth inning.
The Bulldogs got their only run of the game in the third inning, courtesy of eighth-grader Tyler Helgeson.
The Bulldogs will get two days of rest, then it will be back to work Monday when they travel to North Union.
First pitch is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
